THE WATERCOLOR CHEF Leslee Adams began painting in watercolor in 2002. A professional chef by trade, she was raised in the Palm Springs area. After earning her Pastry Diploma at The Ritz Escoffier in Paris in 1990, Leslee returned to CA and worked as a pastry chef at The Ritz Huntington Hotel. She moved back to PS in 1990 and opened her own catering/pastry business. As a chef she is known for creating table displays with an artist’s eye.
Leslee began watercolor painting as a relaxing hobby and soon developed a passion for the art. Her paintings are vibrant and dance with color. She first became known for her colorful, distinctive painting of foods. She has branched out to paint local desert and European landscapes, still lifes, and florals all with her bold, dramatic style.
Leslee has been a member of the CVWS since 2004 and received many awards-including painter of the year. Also a member of the Westlake Village Art Guild since 2010. Artist Council PS Museum and Tubac Center of the Arts. She exhibits widely and has shown and sold her work at The La Quinta Arts Festival, Indian Wells Arts Festival 2019 Featured Poster Artist, Southwest Arts Festival, Art on Main Street, San Diego Artwalk, Redlands Art Festival, Palo Alto Fine Arts, Thousand Oaks, Sonoma, Los Altos, Lake Tahoe, Bend OR, Scottsdale AZ, Denver CO.
